Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a very low level with the visible solar disk spotless. The tiny filament in the target region erupted (partially?), which was associated with a two-ribbon flare (might be ~A9). The target region is further decaying. We will watch this region for a further 24 hours. Quiet-Sun condition continue in the following 24 hour period.
The approximate position of the target on January 15 at 02:30 UT is: S03W27 (430", -10")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
