Dear Collaborators,
NOAA 13380 is now beyond the southwest limb. NOAA 13386, currently approaching the northwest limb, was the source of an X1.6 flare at 21:45 UT yesterday. It is also classified as a beta-delta region and will be the new target region. We are implementing a Major Flare Watch campaign at this time due to the slight possibility of an additional
M5 flare before NOAA 13386 transits the western limb.
The position of NOAA 13386 on 6-Aug-2023 at 07:30 UT is:
N11W80, ( 914", 162" )
