Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity returned to a low level since the last message. The largest event in the last 24 hours was a C3.0 flare from NOAA 14030. Yesterday's target, NOAA 14025 only produced a C1.9 flare at 23:59 UT on 3/18. This region significantly reduced the area of trailing (negative) sunspots and re-classified as a beta type.
NOAA 14031, located at the Northeast of NOAA 13025, undergoes flux emergence from the central area, retaining magnetic complexity of a beta-gamma type and producing 3 low-C class flares. Today we will switch our target to NOAA 14031, at the central area of mixed polarity expecting additional C class events.
The position of the target in NOAA 14031 on 19-March-2025 at 16:00 UT is: N15W30 (476", 354").
