Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly decreased from the last message. The target region, NOAA 14341 produced an M1.2 flare at 23:46 UT yesterday(1/17) from the area of mixed polarity in the West vicinity of the main sunspot. In addition, 2 C class flares were from this region, while a C7.2 event at 06:01 UT today was from the East side of the main sunspot. NOAA 14242 in the Northern hemisphere is another source of flares in the past 24 to 48 hours, but these events are currently at a low-C level.
Although NOAA 14341 is reducing the area (840 to 500 millionths), it maintains flare activity of high-C to M class. Today, we will continue to observe NOAA 14341, at the West side of the main spots.
The position of the target region in NOAA 14341 on 18-January-2026 at 17:00 UT is: S09E20 (-333", -86").
