Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13576 grew
slightly in terms of sunspot area since the last message while merging
some spots. This region continues as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot
group classification. NOAA 13576 again produced several C-class flares
in the period, along with an M1.2 flare on 9-Feb-2024 at 17:54 UT and
an M1.5 flare on 10-Feb-2024 at 00:42 UT, respectively. A region that
is currently beyond the South East limb was the source of the largest
magnitude flare in the period, an M3.4 flare on 10-Feb-2024 at 03:04 UT.
NOAA 13576 will remain as the default target until more information is
available on the new region after it rotates over the South East limb.
Further C-class flares are expected in the next 24 hours, with a chance
for more M-class flares.

Solar activity is at a high level. Target region NOAA 13576 was stable in
terms of sunspot area since the last message, and remains classified as a
beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group. This region produced several C-class
flares in the period, along with an M3.2 flare on 9-Feb-2024 at 00:36 UT.
NOAA 13575 produced an M3.9 flare on 8-Feb-2024 at 23:16 UT while at the
South West limb, followed by an X3.4 flare on 9-Feb-2024 at 12:53 UT after
having rotated over the limb. At this point we are not initiating a Major
Flare Watch because NOAA 13575 is currently rotating out of Earth-view.
NOAA 13576 will remain the default target. Additional C-class activity is
expected over the following 24-hour period, with a good chance for further
M-class flares.

The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13576 has grown
marginally in terms of sunspot area since the last message by consolidating
some spots, and it remains classified as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot
group. NOAA 13576 was the most flare-productive region in the period, with
multiple C-class and two M-class flares (an M3.5 and M1.8 on 8-Feb-2024 at
12:41 UT and 15:17 UT, respectively), which includes the largest magnitude
flare. Further C-class flaring is expected in the next 24 hours, with good
chances for additional M-class flares.

Solar activity is at a moderate-to-high level. Target region NOAA 13576
has displayed polarity mixing and separation of its main spots since the
last message, so was re-classified as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot
group. This region produced several C-class flares and an M1.4 flare on
7-Feb-2024 at 17:41 UT. NOAA 13575 showed signs of decay and produced an
M5.2 flare on 7-Feb-2024 at 03:04 UT as it rotated up to the South West
limb. Despite NOAA 13575 producing a >M5 flare, at this stage the target
region will remain as NOAA 13576 due to its delta spot involving a long
narrow excursion into the main leading spot. Additional C-class activity
is expected over the following 24-hour period, with a good chance for
more M-class activity.

The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13576 has been
stable in terms of sunspot area and number of spots since the last message
and remains classified as a beta-delta/E-type sunspot group, but may also
have a gamma classification move visible as this rotates further on disk.
This region produced only C-class flares in the period, while NOAA 13575
produced an M4.3 flare on 6-Feb-2024 at 02:37 UT - the largest magnitude
flare. NOAA 13575 has undergone some consolidation of spots over the past
2 days and is classified as a beta-gamma-delta/D-type sunspot group. The
default target region will remain with NOAA 13576 due to its overall size
and prior flaring history. Further C-class flaring is expected in the next
24 hours, with a chance for more M-class flares.

Solar activity has returned to a moderate level in the last 24 hours.
The largest event since the last message was an M1.4 flare at
11:40 UT today from the target region, which was now numbered
as NOAA 13576. This region was classified as a beta/D-type
configuration. It was still the most productive and became more
active, with a high and increasing current helicity. Today the target
shall remain with NOAA 13576. Further C-class activities are
expected, with a good chance of another low-M flare in the following
24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity has decreased slightly since the last
message. An unnumbered region near the South East limb
produced the largest flare that was a C7.7 flare at 05:31 UT today.
This region also produced a C5.8 flare and 4 low-C flares, where
EUV images show dynamic activities. Today the target shall switch
to this limb region. Yesterday’s target region NOAA 13571 was only
a source of 3 low-level flares, with signs of decay. Further C-class
activities are expected, with a low-M flare likely in the coming
24-48 hours.

Solar activity has reached a moderate level. The largest event
since the last message was an M1.2 flare at 02:52 UT today
from NOAA 13571. This region was also the source of a C5.7
flare plus several low-C flares. It has been classified as an
alpha/H-type sunspot group, with the emergence of new magnetic
fluxes. 13571 should become the new target due to its recent
high frequency of flaring activity. Yesterday’s target NOAA 13567
only produced a C1 flare. Further C-class activities are expected,
with a chance of another low-M flare in the following 24 hours.

Target region NOAA 13567 was a source of 6 C1 flares. It continued
to be classified as a beta/D-type configuration and to increase in
sunspot area and counts. Today the target shall remain with NOAA
13567. Please also note that a newly emerged region (N25E02)
that was unnumbered yet produced the largest event, a C3.1 flare
at 07:22 UT today. Additional C-class activities are expected in the
next 24-hour period.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been still at an intermediate level since the
last message. Yesterday’s target region NOAA 13559 produced
6 C-class flares, including the largest magnitude flare (a C5.7
flare at 17:34 UT on 30-Jan-2024), but it has almost rotated
beyond the west limb. A newly numbered region NOAA 13567
has been classified as a beta/D-type configuration. It was a
source of several low-C flares and has shown signs of additional
flux emergence in the period. Today we shall end the Major Flare
Watch campaign, and the default target shall switch to NOAA
13567. Further C-class activities are expected in the following
24 hours.
