Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has remained at an intermediate level since the last
message. The target region produced several partially-occulted flares,
the largest being a C9.0 at 19:09 UT yesterday. The target region is
now partly visible on the southeast limb and continues to traverse
onto the solar disk, but remains unnumbered. This region also
continues to show significant flux and numerous closed loops in the
upper solar atmosphere. The Major Flare Watch will continue while the
target region moves further onto the solar disk. Isolated >M5 activity
is possible in the next 24-48 hours.
The approximate position of the target region on 28-May-2024 at 11:30 UT is:

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low-intermediate level. Several flares were
produced since the last message, including a partially-occulted X2.9
from a currently unnumbered region behind the southeast limb at 06:49
UT today. It is believed that this region corresponds to the
previously numbered active region NOAA 13664 rotating back onto the
disk. This region also shows significant flux emergence. At this time
we are implementing a Major Flare Watch and the target region will
switch to the southeast limb surrounding this active region as it
rotates onto the solar disk. Further >M5 activity is possible within
the next 24-48 hours.
The approximate position of the target region on 27-May-2024 at 11:30 UT is:

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a low level. The largest event
since the last message was a C5.3 flare at 09:27 UT today
produced by a new numbered region NOAA 13691. This
region also produced two low C-class flares. It has been
designated as a beta-gamma-delta/D-type configuration
and is showing some new flux emergence. This region will
become today's target. Yesterday's target 13685 has been
steady and did not show any notable activities. Further C-class
activities are expected from 13691, with a chance of low
M-class flares in the next 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity was at a low level. The largest event during the
period was a C5.8 flare at 17:16 UT on May 25 produced by
yesterday's target NOAA 13679. This region has rotated beyond
the west limb. Today the target will switch back to NOAA 13685
(S13W48) that has a beta-gamma/E-type configuration. If possible,
please also include the nearby region 13686 (S08W40, beta/C-type)
in the field of view. These two regions produced two low C-class
flares in the past 24 hours. C-class activities are expected in
the next 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity was at a moderate level. The target region
NOAA 13679 produced two ~M1 flares (an M1.1 at 07:51 UT
and an M1.4 at 20:05 on May 24) and seven C-class flares
(including two C9). This region almost rotates over the west
limb with some overlying loops visible above the limb. We
will watch this region for a final 24 hours. Please note that
NOAA 13685 (S13W34, beta-gamma/E-type) also produced
two ~M1 flares (M1.5 and M1.3). Additional low M-class
flares are probable from these two regions.

event in the past 24 hours was an M2.5 at 12:48 UT yesterday
produced by the target region NOAA 13679. 13679 also produced
two M1.0 flares plus more than ten C-class flares. This region
retains a beta-gamma-delta/E-type configuration. C-class activities
are expected with some chance of low M-class flares in the
next 24 hours.

region NOAA 13679 produced three M-class flares with
the largest one being an M4.2 at 02:05 UT today. This
region also produced six C-class flares including a C8.5.
It has been designated as a beta-gamma-delta/E-type
configuration. Additional low M-class flares are possible
as this region further rotates to the west limb.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a low-to-moderate level for the past
24 hours. The largest event was an M2.3 flare at 03:38 UT,
happening just now, produced by the limb region NOAA 13683
(S23W89, beta/D-type). This region also produced seven C-class
flares yesterday when it was rotating over the west limb. Another
region NOAA 13679 produced two low M-class flares (an M1.9
at 05/21/19:19 UT and an M1.5 at 05/22/03:02 UT) plus two
C-class flares. Today the target will switch to 13679 as yesterday's
target NOAA 13685 has been flare quiet since the last message.
13679 has a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group and continues
showing magnetic flux emergence. Further M-class flares are
probable before this region rotates beyond the west limb.

Solar activity has been at a low level since the last message.
The largest event in the past 24 hours was a C6.7 at 05:42 UT
yesterday produced by NOAA 13683 (S24W74, beta/D-type),
which was associated with a filament eruption. The target region
NOAA 13685 retains a beta-gamma/E-type configuration but
decreases in the sunspot area. 13685 only produced a C2.2
flare during the period. While the nearby region NOAA 13686
(S06E23, beta/C-type) produced three low C-class flares. At this
moment we end the Major Flare Watch campaign, remaining
13685 as the target, but please also include 13686 in your field
of view if possible. C-class activities are expected with some
chance of an M-class flare in the next 24 hours.

Solar activity was at a moderate level. There were three ~M2 flares
produced by the target region NOAA 13685, with the largest one
being an M2.5 at 17:47 UT on May 19. 13685 retains a beta-gamma/
E-type configuration but increases in the sunspot area and number
of spots. We will continue the Major Flare Watch campaign today
with 13685 as the target. Additional M-class flares including a >M5
one are possible in the next two days.
