Solar activity remains at intermediate levels. The target region, NOAA
11959, continues to produce C-level events, the largest of which was a
C3.4 flare at 02:08 UT today. The region has increased in size since
the last message, but has been downgraded to a beta configuration.
Further C-level activity expected over the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 11959 on 20-Jan-2014 at 20:35 UT is:

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 1959 has decayed somewhat but is
still currently displaying a D-type/beta-gamma sunspot group.
The minor mixed polarity is located in the trailing sunspots.
1959 produced a few minor C-class events since the last
message. The largest was a C2.7 at 01/19/06:57 UT.
Additional C-class activity is possible in the next 24 hour period.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The target region has now completed east limb passage.
It is still too close to the limb to positively ascertain its
magnetic complexity but it appears to have mixed polarities
within its trailing portion. The region was the source of
numerous limb occulted C-class events in the past 48 hours.
Additional C-class events expected today with a slight
chance of an isolated M-class in the next 24 hours.
The position of the target on January 18 at 11:45 UT is:

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The target region was the source of a few limb occulted
C-class events. The largest was a C8.9 at 01/17/16:08 UT.
The target region is still beyond the southeastern limb in
the location of old NOAA regions 1936 and 1940.
C-class events expected with an M-class event likely and
an event =/>M5 possible in the next 24 hour period.
The approximate position of the target on January 17 at 14:00 UT is:

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 1944 has rotated too far beyond the southwestern
limb to detect any further x-ray events. The new target
is a region just beyond the southeastern limb in the location
of active region old NOAA 1936. This region was the source
of limb occulted C-class activity in the past 24 hours. The
largest was a long duration C2.8 at 01/16/15:41 UT.
Additional C-class events expected with the chance of an
isolated M-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The approximate position of the target on January 16 at 15:45 UT is:

Solar flare activity was very low during the past 24 hours.
All regions on the visible solar disk are stable. The target today
will be NOAA 1944 which is now located beyond the southeastern
limb. There is a chance to observe limb activity from 1944
in the next 24 hour period.

NOAA 1944 continues in decay phase losing sunspot
area, sunspot count and magnetic complexity but is
still a large F-type/beta-gamma region. It is possible
that 1944 will produce another M-class event before
west limb passage.

The level of solar activity is low. NOAA region 11944 continues to
decay, remaining classified as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot
group. This region has maintained flare productivity over the past
24 hours, being the source of 5 C-class flares (the largest being
a C6.0 flare on 11-Jan-2014 at 23:57 UT). Further C-class activity
is expected over the following 24 hours, with a chance for a flare
>M5 from NOAA 11944 still remaining.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. NOAA 11944 has continued to decay
over the past 24 hours, decreasing in both spot area and number of
spots. This region has maintained a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot
group classification, while the region's decay has further weakened
its delta spot configuration. NOAA 11944 has returned to producing
flare activity, being the source of four C-class flares in the past
24 hours (the largest being a C6.5 on 11-Jan-2014 at 13:00 UT). More
C-class activity is expected over the next 24 hours, with a chance
for a flare >M5 still possible from 11944.
