Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased to a moderate level since the last message. The largest event during the period was an M1.9 flare at 13:40 UT today from NOAA 14461 (S21E24, beta/C-type), but its sunspot area remains very small (20 uh). Yesterday's target region, NOAA 14455, produced only two C-class flares during this period, with the larger being a C4.1. NOAA 14456 (N18W28, beta-gamma/C-type) produced several C-class flares in the period, including a C8.8. Today, the target region will switch to NOAA 14456, as it is showing significant magnetic flux emergence. Further C-class activity is expected, with a chance of additional low M-class activity in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14456 on 6-Jun-2026 at 11:30 UT is:
N18W28, (423", 293")
