Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be at a very low level. The largest event in the period was a C1.5 flare at 21:20 UT yesterday (10/1) from the Northeast limb region, mentioned yesterday and now assigned the number NOAA 14545, classified as a beta type. The target region, NOAA 14535 produced only a few low-B class events and will undergo its limb transit in the next 24 hours.
Today we will switch the target to NOAA 14545 to observe the area of its trailing sunspot where the C1.5 flare was produced. Additional activity of low-C class is expected.
The position of the target in NOAA 14545 on 2-October-2026 at 16:00 UT is: N20E54 (-725", 277").
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org and the newer version at https://solmon.dias.ie for images and other information.
