Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a very low level. The largest event during the period was a C1.1 flare at 08/31/17:56 UT from NOAA 14517 (N10W88). 14517 also produced several mid-to-high B-class flares during the period, but has now rotated completely over the west limb, with overlying loops visible above the limb. The target region NOAA 14520 (S12W14, beta/ D-type) produced only three mid-to-high B-class flares during the period, but showed increases in both sunspot area and spot number. Today, we will continue to watch NOAA 14520 as the target region. Further C-class activity is expected in the following 24 hours.
