Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has significantly reduced since the last message. The largest event in the last 24 hours was a C4.0 flare at 20:45 UT yesterday (8/21) produced by the target region, NOAA 14513. This region also produced a few low-C class flares and was reclassified as a beta-gamma-delta type, but is showing a sign of decay undergoing fragmentation.
Today we will end the Major Flare Watch campaign on NOAA 14513, but continue to observe the central area of NOAA 14513 as the default target. Additional C class events are expected.
The position of the target in NOAA 14513 on 22-August-2026 at 16:00 UT is: N03E43 (-647", -32").
