Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be at a low level since the last message. The largest event in the last 24 hours was a C2.1 flare at 19:44 UT yesterday(5/19) from the target region, NOAA 14436. This region underwent a new flux emergence in the Southeast portion of the main sunspot, which resulted in several more low-C class flares yesterday. NOAA 14441 located in the Northwest quadrant is showing stable growth by adding new sunspots, but currently having produced only one B-class flare.
Today we will continue to observe the Southeast portion of NOAA 14436, expecting additional low-C class flares before reaching at the limb. The position of the target in NOAA 14436 on 20-May-2026 at 15:30 UT is: N17W71 (855", 297").
