Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be low since the last message. The largest event in the period was a C2.0 flare at 11:42 UT today (6/18) produced by NOAA 14470. This region is also the source of another C class flare (C1.0 at 07:38 UT) and several B-class events in the last 12 hours. Yesterday's target, NOAA 14465 only produced two high-B class flares. A newly emerged bi-polar sunspots in the Northeast quadrant is not assigned a number yet, but produced two B class flares yesterday.
Today, we will switch the target back to NOAA 14470 due to the recent flare history. We will observe the area of its following sunspots with mixed polarity. Additional high-B to low-C class events are expected.
The position of the target in NOAA 14470 on 18-Jun-2026 at 16:00 UT is: N07E48 (-699", 108").
