Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has remained at a low level since the last message. The largest event during the period was a C1.9 flare at 21:42 UT yesterday from a limb region (N21E89), which has not yet rotated onto the disk. NOAA 14446 (S15W42, beta/C-type) and the nearby region 14449 (S09W37, alpha/H-type) produced most of the other low C-class flares, but 14449 has decayed significantly, with a rapid decrease in sunspot area. The target region NOAA 14455 (N15E17, beta/C-type) produced only a C1.1 flare during the period, but clear flux emergence is now visible to the north of its leading main sunspot. Therefore, today we will continue to watch NOAA 14455 as the target region. Further C-class activity is expected, with a chance of isolated low-level M-class activity in the next 24 hours.
