Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has remained at a low level since the last message. The largest event during the period was a C3.9 flare at 05:44 UT today from the target region NOAA 14498 (N14E43). 14498 has developed into a beta-gamma magnetic configuration and produced several other low C-class flares during the period. The area east of its main sunspot shows clear signs of magnetic flux emergence and mixed polarities. Therefore, today we will continue to watch NOAA 14498 as the target region. The emerging region mentioned yesterday has now been designated NOAA 14500 (N18E51, beta/C-type). This region also produced a few low C-class flares during the period. If possible, please also include 14500 in your field of view. Further C-class activity is expected, with only a slight chance of an isolated low M-class flare in the next 24 hours.
