Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a high level for the past 24 hours. The largest event was an X1.5 flare at 06/30/20:34 UT produced by NOAA 14479. NOAA 14479 was also the source of eight low M-class flares. It retains a complex beta-gamma-delta/E-type configuration. Today we will continue the Major Flare campaign but switch the target to NOAA 14479. Yesterday's target NOAA 14475 only produced three C-class flares during the period. Further M-class flares are expected with a chance of an X-class flare in the next few days.
The position of NOAA 14479 on July 1 at 15:30 UT is: N16W33 (495", 221")
