Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity during the last 24 hours was elevated to a moderate level due to the flares from behind the Northwestern limb produced by NOAA 14436. This region produced more than 10 flares larger than high-B class, with the largest being an M2.4 flare at 10:03 UT today(5/22). The loop system over NOAA 14436 will be fully out of our view in the next 24 hours.
Yesterday's target, NOAA 14441 added new sunspots in the Northeast vicinity of the leading sunspots, now being classified as a beta-gamma type. Today we will continue to observe NOAA 14441 in the area of the new flux emergence, the source of a C1.5 flare today at 12:55 UT.
The position of the target in NOAA 14441 on 22-May-2026 at 15:30 UT is: N09W53 (749", 180").
