Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a low level since the last message. The largest event in the last 24 hours was a C4.2 flare at 6:24 UT today (8/23) produced by the target region, NOAA 14513. This region also produced a few low-C class flares in the last 24 hours.
All these flares were initiated around the main leading sunspot with positive polarity, but slightly different locations that are connected with different nearby patches of negative polarity. Today, we will continue to observe NOAA 14513, at the central portion of the two leading sunspots with different polarities, the source of the C4.2 flare.
The position of the target in NOAA 14513 on 23-August-2026 at 15:30 UT is: N03E28 (-455", -50").
