Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly increased since the last message, but still at a low level. The largest event in the period was a B4.9 flare at 3:23 UT today (8/9) contributed by two regions, NOAA 14498 and 14502, both located on the West limb. Although these regions repeated mid-B class events in the last 12 hours, they are being out of Earth's view in the coming 24 hours.
Yesterday's target, NOAA 14504 only produced a B4.2 event at 00:13 UT today. The patches of its plage are getting thinner but maintain some magnetic complexity. In the next 24 hours, we will continue to observe the Easternmost plage of NOAA 14504, expecting additional B-class events.
The position of the target in NOAA 14504 on 9-August-2026 at 15:30 UT is: S22E25 (-372", -442").
