Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased since the last message. The largest event during the period was a C7.5 flare at 21:06 UT yesterday from NOAA 14475 (S10W26, beta-gamma/D-type). NOAA 14475 became the most flare-productive region during the period, producing five additional low C-class flares. The target region NOAA 14478 (S06E26, beta-gamma- delta/F-type) produced only a C2.1 flare but remains the largest and most magnetically complex region on the visible disk. Today, the target region will remain NOAA 14478, as it is showing ongoing significant flux emergence. Further C-class activity is expected, with a slight chance of an isolated low M-class flare in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14478 on 28-Jun-2026 11:30 UT is:
S06E26 (-412", -136")
