Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a relatively high level. The largest event since the last message was an M8.5 flare at 07/01/22:57 UT, produced by NOAA 14478, which retains a beta-gamma-delta/F-type configuration. 14478 also produced an M1.1 flare. The target region NOAA 14479 retains a beta-gamma-delta/E-type sunspot group and produced three low M-class flares (the largest one being an M4.2 flare) plus three C-class flares during the period. Today we will continue to watch NOAA 14479. Further low M-class flares are expected with a chance of major flares above M5.0 from both regions.
The position of NOAA 14479 on July 2 at 07:30 UT is: N17W42 (605", 241")
