Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has decreased to a low level since the last message. The largest event during the period was a C2.1 flare at 20:11 UT on 4-Jun from NOAA 14458 (S05W28). The target region NOAA 14455 (N15W41) produced only one C1.5 flare during the period and has decreased in complexity to a beta-gamma magnetic configuration. NOAA 14457 (S09W79, beta/C-type) also produced four low C-class flares in the period. Today, we will end the Major Flare Watch campaign and continue to watch NOAA 14455 as the default target region due to its recent flare history. Further C-class activity is expected, with a chance of an isolated low M-class flare in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14455 on 5-Jun-2026 at 11:30 UT is:
N15W41, (600",247")
