Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has remained at a high level since the last message. The largest event during the period was an X1.0 flare https://www.lmsal.com/solarsoft/latest_events/#X1.1_AR_4455_N14W15_Fast_Shock_Potential at 11:19 UT on 3-Jun from the target region NOAA 14455 (N14W25). This region has increased in magnetic complexity to a beta-gamma-delta configuration, and produced an M7.7 flare and numerous C-class flares during the period. Today, we will continue the Major Flare Watch campaign for NOAA 14455 for another 24 hours. Further C-class flares are expected, with a chance of an isolated >M5 flare in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14455 on 4-Jun-2026 at 07:30 UT is:
N14W25, (389", 234")
