Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a low-to-moderate level since the last message. The largest event in the period was an M1.2 flare started at 13:56 UT today(10/10) from the target region, NOAA 14549. This region also produced a C7.9 flare at 4:35 UT today and several low-C class flares, while a C4.2 flare at 7:42 UT today was from behind the Northwest limb associated with an eruptive event from NOAA 14547.
A group of leading sunspots of NOAA 14549 is showing a sign of decay but maintains a delta configuration and relative motion of sunspots. Today NOAA 14549 continues to be the target of the ongoing Major Flare Watch campaign. Additional C to low-M class flares are expected with a chance of an event larger than M5.
The position of the target in NOAA 14549 on 10-October-2026 at 15:30 UT is: N08W52 (758", 76").
