Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has become high-to-intermediate levels in the past 24 hours. The target region NOAA 13559 was a source of 2 high-C (C6.0 and C5.9) and 6 low-C flares. 13559 has been downgraded to be a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group, but its proximity to the limb hampers accurate classification. The looptops of NOAA 13559 shall continue as the target region and the Major Flare Watch will be extended for a further 24 hours, with a slight chance of a partially occulted M-class flare.
The position of NOAA 13559 on 30-Jan-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
N26W90 (874", 424")
