Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low-to-moderate level. Target NOAA 13340 grew slightly in terms of sunspot area and number of spots since the last message, now being classified as a beta-gamma region with some mixed polarities in the trailing portion. 13340 remained the most flare-productive region, being the source of multiple C-class flares and the largest magnitude flare in the period - an M1.6 at 16:08 UT yesterday. 13340 shall continue as the target region. Please note that a newly emerged region NOAA 13354 (N15E20, beta/C-type) underwent rapid flux emergence and also produced two low C-class flares in the period. Further C-class flares are expected in the following 24-hour period, with a chance for another M-class flare.
The position of NOAA 13340 on 27-Jun-2023 at 07:30 UT is:
N20W49 (670", 298")
