Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a moderate level since the last message. The target region NOAA 13878 continues to be the main source of the flare activity in the past 24 hours. NOAA 13878, being classified as a beta-gamma type (E-type), produced an M4.2 flare at 16:13 UT on 10/28 and more than 10 mid-to-high C class flares from its trailing sunspot.
It is worthy to note that currently there are 3 active regions (NOAA 13869, 13872 and 13874) classified as a beta-gamma-delta type, but they have not been showing much activity compared to NOAA 13878 in the past 24 hours. We will continue to observe the trailing spot of NOAA 13878 for the next 24 hours, expecting additional C class events and larger.
The position of the target in NOAA 13878 on 29-October-2024 at 15:00 UT is: N15E58 (-793", 219").
