MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
Solar flare activity has returned to a very low level. The target region that was the source of the limb occulted C3.4 event yesterday has completed east limb passage. The region has an unusual east-west magnetic inversion line with the trailing polarity located directly north of the leading polarity. There is a single tiny spot located in the trailing portion. B-class events possible with a slight chance of a C-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The position of the target on June 24 at 10:00 UT is: N14E75 (Solar X = -886", Solar Y = 220")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
