Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a low-to-moderate level since the last message. The main source of current flare activity is NOAA 14557. This region produced more than 10 C class flares in the last 24 hours, with the largest being a C3.5 flare at 2:36 UT today(10/20). NOAA 14557 slightly reduced in size but maintains flare activity. The target region, NOAA 14551 only produced 3 high-B class flares after the M1.7 event yesterday, now proceeding to the limb.
Today we will switch the default target to NOAA 14557 to observe its central area with polarity inversion of a beta type. Additional C-class events are expected.
The position of the target in NOAA 14557 on 20-October-2026 at 15:00 UT is: N06W34 (542", 36").
