Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has reached a high level due to an eruptive M5.8 flare at 13:19 UT yesterday from NOAA 14436. This region has been classified as beta/D-type. At this point, we are implementing a Major Flare Watch on 14436. Yesterday’s target NOAA 14432 (N14W60, beta‑gamma/E-type) has produced multiple low‑C and B-class flares, showing significant magnetic flux emergence. Additional C-class activity is expected, with the possibility of another >M5 from 14436 within the next 48 hours.
The position of NOAA 14436 on 11-May-2026 at 07:30 UT is:
N19E51 (-699", 340")
