Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased slightly in the past 24 hours. An unnumbered region behind the northeast limb produced the largest event, a partially occulted C4.5 flare at 01:28 UT today, which was long-duration and accompanied by a CME. Yesterday’s target, NOAA 14431, produced a ~B7 and a ~C2 flare but showed signs of decay, with its magnetic configuration degrading to beta/C-type. Today, the target will switch to this limb region from 14431. Additional low-C activity is expected in the following 24 hours.
The approximate position of the target on 07-May-2026 at 11:30 UT is:
N17E88 (-900", 288")
