Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. NOAA 12473 remains the largest and most complex region on the visible disk. This region grew in spot area marginally over the past 24 hours, maintaining number of spots and a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group designation. NOAA 12473 has continued to produce C-class events, while the largest flare since the last message came from decaying region 12472 (a C6.9 flare on 25 Dec-2015 at 16:59 UT). More C-class activity is expected, with a chance for an isolated low-to-mid M-class flare.
The position of NOAA 12473 on 25-Dec-2015 at 22:00 UT is:
S22E23, ( -356", -334" )
