Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a moderate level since the last message.
An M2.8 (at 07/02/10:21 UT) and an M1.2 (at 07/02/23:03 UT) flares
were produced by NOAA 14480 (S16W60, beta-gamma/E-type) and
the target region NOAA 14479, respectively. NOAA 14479 also produced
six C-class flares during the period. It retains a beta-gamma-delta/E-type
configuration. Today we will continue the Major Flare campaign on
NOAA 14479. Additional low M-class flares are expected with some
chance of an isolated major flare above M5.0 in the coming days.
The position of NOAA 14479 on July 3 at 07:30 UT is:

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a relatively high level. The
largest event since the last message was an M8.5 flare
at 07/01/22:57 UT, produced by NOAA 14478, which
retains a beta-gamma-delta/F-type configuration. 14478
also produced an M1.1 flare. The target region NOAA 14479
retains a beta-gamma-delta/E-type sunspot group and
produced three low M-class flares (the largest one being
an M4.2 flare) plus three C-class flares during the period.
Today we will continue to watch NOAA 14479. Further low
M-class flares are expected with a chance of major flares
above M5.0 from both regions.

Solar activity has been at a high level for the past 24 hours.
The largest event was an X1.5 flare at 06/30/20:34 UT produced
by NOAA 14479. NOAA 14479 was also the source of eight low
M-class flares. It retains a complex beta-gamma-delta/E-type
configuration. Today we will continue the Major Flare campaign
but switch the target to NOAA 14479. Yesterday's target NOAA 14475
only produced three C-class flares during the period. Further M-class
flares are expected with a chance of an X-class flare in the next few
days.
The position of NOAA 14479 on July 1 at 15:30 UT is:
N16W33 (495", 221")
