Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a moderate to high level. The largest event since the last message was an M6.7 flare at 07/03/17:49 UT produced by the target region NOAA 14479. 14479 was also the source of six low M-class flares plus seven C-class flares. Please note that another region NOAA 14478 (S06W48, downgraded to a beta-gamma/F-type configuration) produced the second largest flare, an M6.3 flare at 07/03/18:57 UT. Today we continue to watch NOAA 14479 which has a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group. Further low M-class activities are expected with a chance of some major flare in the following days.
The position of NOAA 14479 on July 4 at 03:30 UT is: N17W68 (837", 257")
