Solar activity is at a low-to-moderate level. Target region NOAA 13645 has
now rotated over the South West limb. The most flare-productive region in
the period was NOAA 13638 that has now rotated up to the South West limb
(where it was classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group the previous day).
NOAA 13638 was the source of several C-class flares and an M1.3 flare on
25-Apr-2024 at 17:03 UT (the largest magnitude event). The default target
switches to the limb-exiting location of NOAA 13638 because the coronal
loop structure will remain visible for most of the next 24 hours. C-class
activity is expected over the following 24-hour period, with a chance for
a low M-class flare.

The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13645
remained stable in sunspot area and number of spots since the last
message, continuing in classification as a beta-gamma/D-type spot
group. This region was one of three to produce low M-class flares
in the period (an M1.0 on 25-Apr-2024 at 01:40 UT) with the other
NOAA regions being 13647 (a beta/D-type spot group, with an M1.1
on 24-Apr-2024 at 22:27 UT) and 13638 (a beta/C-type spot group,
with an M2.0 on 24-Apr-2024 at 22:54 UT and M1.0 on 25-Apr-2024 at
13:11 UT). The default target will remain as NOAA 13645, but their
close proximity to each other and strong foreshortening effects
with being near the South West limb may allow observers to include
NOAA 13645 and one or both of these other two regions within their
field-of-view. More low M-class activity is probable in the next
24 hours, with a chance for a >M5 flare.

Solar activity is at a moderate level. Target region NOAA 13654
grew in sunspot area and number of spots since the last message,
adding penumbrae to its trailing polarity to be classified as a
beta/D-type sunspot group. This region did not produce any more
significant flares in the period. In contrast, some low M-class
flares were produced by both NOAA 13638 (a beta/B-type sunspot
group, with an M1.8 on 24-Apr-2024 at 02:30 UT) and NOAA 13645
(a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group, with an M1.7 and an M1.4 on
24-Apr-2024 at 00:13 UT and 12:07 UT, respectively). The default
target switches back to NOAA 13645 as it rotates up to the South
West limb. Additional low M-class flares are probable over the
following 24-hour period, with a chance for a >M5 flare.

Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13645
maintained spot area and number of spots since the last message,
remaining classified as a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group. This
region was the source of several high C-class flares and an M2.9
flare on 23-Apr-2024 at 17:33 UT. The largest magnitude flare in
the period was an M3.6 on 23-Apr-2024 at 03:06 UT that came from
NOAA 13654 (a beta/C-type group), the same region that produced
an M3.0 on 23-Apr-2024 at 08:07 UT. The default target switches
to NOAA 13654 because this region seems to be emerging new flux.
More low-to-mid M-class flares are likely in the next 24 hours,
with a chance for a >M5 flare.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a moderate level. Target region NOAA 13645 has
emerged some magnetic flux since the last message, increasing in
sunspot area and number of spots. As a result, this region changed
in classification to be a beta-gamma/D-type group. NOAA 13645 was
the source of two M-class flares in the period (an M1.0 and an M1.6
on 22-Apr-2024 at 07:59 UT and 13:13 UT, respectively), while the
largest magnitude flare was an M3.4 on 21-Apr-2024 at 21:44 UT from
NOAA 13638 (beta/C-type group located close to NOAA regions 13645
and 13647). The default target continues as NOAA 13645 for the next
24 hours due to being larger with more complex sunspot structure.
However, all regions in this Southern-hemisphere complex are being
monitored for their evolution and a possible upgrading to a MM#003
Major Flare Watch. Further low M-class activity is probable over
the following 24-hour period, with a chance for a >M5 flare.

The level of solar activity is low-to-moderate. Target region NOAA
13647 has again remained stable in terms of spot area and number of
spots since the last message, but has not produced any significant
flares. The majority of flares were produced by NOAA regions 13638
(a beta/C-type sunspot group) and NOAA 13645 (a beta/D-type sunspot
group) - NOAA 13638 generated three C-class flares and an M2.2 (on
21-Apr-2024 at 15:07 UT), while NOAA 13645 generated five C-class
flares and an M1.0 (on 21-Apr-2024 at 12:39 UT). At this point the
MM#003 Major Flare Watch terminates. The default target switches to
NOAA 13645 because of its more central location in the cluster of
active regions in the Southern hemisphere. More C-class activity is
expected in the next 24 hours, with a chance for low M-class flares.

Solar activity is at a low-to-moderate level. Target region NOAA 13647
Has remained stable in terms of sunspot area and number of spots since
the last message, but has increased in primary spot separation while
remaining classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group. This region has
decreased in flaring activity, producing only a C2.5 on 20-Apr-2024
at 04:38 UT in the period. The most flaring region was instead NOAA
13638 (a beta/C-type sunspot group) that is located extremely close
to NOAA 13647 (and 13645). NOAA 13638 produced eight C-class flares,
the largest of which was a C4.8 on 20-Apr-2024 at 00:57 UT (also the
largest in the period). The MM#003 Major Flare Watch will continue
for a possibly final 24 hours. Further C-class flares are expected
over the following 24-hour period, with a chance for M-class flares.

Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13645
grew in terms of sunspot area and number of spots since the last
message, but simplified in magnetic classification to be reported
as a beta/D-type sunspot group. Some of this decrease in magnetic
complexity is due to some of polarities observed in that location
yesterday now being identified as a new emerging sunspot region,
designated as NOAA 13647 (a beta-delta/D-type group). Multiple
C-class and three M-class flares have occurred from the vicinity
of NOAA regions 13645 and 13647, the largest being an M2.1 flare
on 19-Apr-2024 at 04:40 UT. The MM#003 Major Flare Watch remains
in effect, with a minor shift in targeting coordinates to NOAA
13647, although NOAA 13645 should be kept within an observational
field-of-view if possible. More M-class activity is expected in
the next 24 hours, with a good chance for a >M5 flare.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a moderate level. Target region NOAA 13639
was stable in terms of spot area and number of spots since the
last message, remaining classified as a beta-gamma-delta/E-type
sunspot group. This region has decreased significantly in both
flaring frequency and peak flaring magnitude, producing only a
C4.3 flare in the period (17-Apr-2024 at 20:51 UT). In contrast,
newly numbered NOAA 13645 produced ten C-class and two M-class
flares (M1.6 on 17-Apr-2024 at 21:55 UT and M1.3 on 18-Apr-2024
at 07:17 UT). This region was classified as a beta-gamma/C-type
sunspot group at the start of the UT day, but now appears to be
a D-type group with a potential delta spot. The largest flare
in the period was an M2.2 on 18-Apr-2024 at 02:32 UT from NOAA
13638 (a beta/C-type group) that is located close to NOAA 13645
(and also NOAA 13637). The MM#003 Major Flare Watch continues,
but the target switches to NOAA 13645. Additional low M-class
flares are expected over the following 24-hour period, with a
good chance for a >M5 flare.

The level of solar activity low-to-moderate. Target region NOAA 13639
grew in sunspot area and number of spots since the last message, and
has now been reclassified as a beta-gamma-delta/E-type sunspot group.
NOAA regions 13639 and 13634 (now a beta/D-type sunspot group) have
both reduced in peak flaring magnitude, with only a C2.3 flare from
NOAA 13634 (on 17-Apr-2024 at 04:43 UT) and nine C-class flares from
NOAA 13639, with the largest being a C8.1 on 17-Apr-2024 at 03:13 UT.
The largest magnitude flare in the period was an M1.1 from NOAA 13637
(a beta-delta/D-type sunspot group) on 16-Apr-2024 at 17:49 UT. The
MM#003 Major Flare Watch will continue with NOAA 13639 as the target
for another 24 hours. Further low M-class flares are possible in the
next 24 hours, with a chance for an isolated >M5 flare.
