Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a low-moderate level. A number of flares were produced in the last 24 hours, including a trio of M-class events, the largest being an M1.6 from NOAA 14420 at 13:49 UT yesterday. NOAA 14420 produced fifteen flares since the last message, and while the flux associated with the region appears to have reduced slightly, the region still shows notable sunspot activity. At this time, we are ending the Major Flare Watch, however NOAA 14420 will remain as the target region. Further C-class and low M-class activity is likely in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14420 on 29-April-2026 at 07:30 UT is:
N16W47, (671", 310") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
