Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. Several flares were produced since the last message, the largest being a C3.7 from a currently unnumbered active region over the southeastern limb at 09:35 UT today. NOAA 14420 continues to produce multiple flares, however in the last 24 hours these have been limited to lower C-class flares. This region is now beginning to transit the northwestern limb, signs of emerging flux still exist in this region and it should continue to be monitored. NOAA 14420 will remain the target region. Further C-class activity is expected.
The position of NOAA 14420 on 30-April-2026 at 11:30 UT is:
N16W63, (816", 293") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
