Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased to an intermediate level since the last message. The largest event was a C5.5 flare at 06:31 UT today, produced by NOAA 14435. This region has become the most productive and has increased in magnetic complexity, now being classified as a beta/C-type. Yesterday’s target NOAA 14432 produced four low-C flares as it rotated out of earth view. Today NOAA 14435 becomes the new target. Further C-class activity is expected in the coming 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14435 on 14-May-2026 at 11:30 UT is:
N23W62 (772", 390")
