MM#003 Major Flare Watch
Dear Collaborators,
At this time we are implementing Max Millennium coordinated observing plan #003 (Region Likely To Produce A Major Flare). Target region NOAA 2936 has developed a weak magnetic delta in the trailing portion of its E-type/beta-gamma-delta sunspot group. 2936 produced an isolated M1.1 event and several C-class events since the last message. The M1.1 was at 01/29/23:32 UT. Another low level M-class event is likely with an event >M4 possible. There is only a slight chance of an X-class event in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 2936 on January 30 at 15:00 UT is: N17W04 (Solar X = 065", Solar Y = 381")
