Dear Collaborators,

Solar activity remains at a very low level. Yesterday's target region NOAA 14517 produced only one B6.8 flare since the last message and is now almost entirely over the west limb. The largest event during the period was a C2.6 flare at 08/31/15:09 UT from NOAA 14520 (S12W01; beta/D-type). This region also produced two additional ~C1 flares during the period. Today, we will switch the target region to NOAA 14520. In addition, an unnumbered active region near the east limb (N18E87) produced two ~C1 flares and one B8.6 flare during the period. Additional C-class activity is expected in the following 24 hours.

The position of NOAA 14520 on August 31 at 15:30 UT is:

S12W01 (16",-313")
