Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been very low since the last message. The largest
event in the last 24 hours was a C5.6 flare at 13:09 UT today(5/21)
from the target region, NOAA 14436, which has now rotated behind
the Northwest limb.
NOAA 14441 in the Northwestern quadrant continued to grow both in
size and number of sunspots since yesterday, having produced 2
high-B class flares from the area of trailing sunspots with mixed polarity.
Today our target will move to NOAA 14441, expecting high-B to low-C
activities.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be at a low level since the last message.
The largest event in the last 24 hours was a C2.1 flare at 19:44 UT
yesterday(5/19) from the target region, NOAA 14436. This region
underwent a new flux emergence in the Southeast portion of the main
sunspot, which resulted in several more low-C class flares yesterday.
NOAA 14441 located in the Northwest quadrant is showing stable
growth by adding new sunspots, but currently having produced only
one B-class flare.
Today we will continue to observe the Southeast portion of NOAA 14436,
expecting additional low-C class flares before reaching at the limb.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a low level since the last message.
The largest event in the last 24 hours was a C2.1 flare at 7:29 UT
today(5/19) from the plage in the north part of NOAA 14436.
NOAA 14436 also produced a C1.9 flare (at 18:10 on 5/18) and
several high-B class flares from the southeast side of the main
sunspot. A bright region from the Northeast limb is coming into
our view, but currently not showing flare activity. Today we will
continue to observe NOAA 14436, on the Southeast side of the
main sunspot.

Solar activity has declined to a low level since the last message.
The largest event in the last 24 hours was a C9.7 flare at 20:42 UT
yesterday (5/17) produced by NOAA 14436. This region also produced
5 high-B class flares, while yesterday's target, NOAA 14432 rotated
behind the limb without showing further flare activity. Today our default
target will be switched to NOAA 14436, on the East side of the main
sunspot.
The position of the target on 18-May-2026 at 15:00 UT is:
N18W43 (626", 320").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has reached a moderate level. Four low-M flares
were produced by NOAA 14436 and the target region NOAA
14435. 14436 (N19W33) produced an M1.9 flare and an M1.3
flare yesterday, which has decreased in magnetic complexity
to alpha/H-type. 14435 has retained its highest productivity,
producing an M2.0 at 17:39 UT yesterday and an M1.4 at
03:29 UT today. Today, the target will remain with the looptops
of NOAA 14435 for the final 24 hours. Further C-class activity
is expected, with a low-M flare likely in the next 24 hours.

target region NOAA 14435 produced four flares, including
the largest being a C9.5 at 16:05 UT yesterday. This region
has been classified as a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group,
though it is nearing the west limb. Today, the target will
remain with NOAA 14435 for a further 24 hours. Additional
low-C activity is possible in the coming 24 hours.

13:10 UT today from the target region NOAA 14435. This
region has retained its high productivity and has developed
into a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group. Today the target
shall remain at 14435. Note that NOAA 14438 (N20W51,
beta/D-type) also produced six low-C flares. Further C-class
activity is expected in the next 24 hours.

today, produced by NOAA 14435. This region has become the
most productive and has increased in magnetic complexity,
now being classified as a beta/C-type. Yesterday’s target NOAA
14432 produced four low-C flares as it rotated out of earth view.
Today NOAA 14435 becomes the new target. Further C-class
activity is expected in the coming 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has remained at a low level. NOAA 14432 continues
to be the most productive region, producing numerous <=C2.1
flares, and retains its beta-gamma/E-type magnetic configuration.
Yesterday’s target, NOAA 14436, has been downgraded to a
beta/C-type configuration and produced only a few ~C2 flares.
Today we shall end the Major Flare Watch campaign, and the
default target shall switch back to NOAA 14432. Additional low-C
flares are expected in the next 24 hours.

Solar activity has returned to a low level since the last message.
NOAA 14432 (N14W74, beta-gamma/E-type) has maintained its
high productivity, producing eleven <C2 flares. The target region
NOAA 14436 has been classified as a beta-gamma/D-type,
although it has become flare-quiet during the period. Today, the
Major Flare Watch will remain active for a final 24 hours with
NOAA 14436. The low-C activity is expected, with a slight chance
for an >M5 flare in the coming 24 hours.
