Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly increased since the last message. The target region, NOAA 14560 produced a C3.3 flare at 5:33 UT today(10/23), the largest event in the period, and 3 other low-C class and several high-B class flares. This region has reached a stage of maturity, now showing a sign of decay.
The previous target, NOAA 14557 added tiny sunspots in the central area, which produced 4 low-C class flares, but this region undergoes limb transit in the next 24 hours.
Today we will continue to observe NOAA 14560, a group of small sunspots at the central area, the source area of the C3.3 flare. Additional C class events are expected.
The position of the target in NOAA 14560 on 23-October-2026 at 15:30 UT is: N11W51 (745", 131").
