Dear Coronal Loops Enthusiasts,
I hope those of you who attended the Coronal Loops Workshop in Tenerife
recently had an enjoyable and productive meeting. By all accounts the
meeting was a great success.
The Coronal Loops Workshop series is overseen by a Steering Committee that
is responsible for selecting venues, forming and advising the workshop
Scientific Organizing Committee, and setting the overarching goals and
agenda of the meetings. Members serve for 6 year terms, and new members are
elected every 2 years. The current committee members are:
David Brooks (Chair)
Patrick Antolin
Clara Froment
Boris Gudiksen
Craig Johnston
Fabio Reale
Durgesh Tripathi
Tom Van Doorsselaere
Amy Winebarger
After helping to organize the meetings in St Andrews 2019, the pandemic
delayed meeting in Paris 2022, and Tenerife 2024, Myself, Durgesh, and
Fabio have reached the end of our terms. It is now time to elect 3 new
members.
If you would like to nominate someone who is active in our community to
serve on the new committee, please send nominations (including
self-nominations) to David Brooks (*dhbrooks.work(a)gmail.com
<dhbrooks.work(a)gmail.com>*) by the end of *Monday August 12th*. The current
committee will vote on the nominations and the newly-elected members will
be contacted and announced in due course.
Best wishes,
David Brooks
